Deweys Coffee House
This is a homecoming for Dewey Forward, Shaker Heights born and
raised, who hung out at The Square during his formative years. He
created for Cleveland such places as Peabody's Cafe, Peabody's
DownUnder, Pete & Dewey's Planet, Teaka Noodles and Juice, and now
his career-crowning statement at Shaker Square.
Partner Diane Armstrong from ReDesigns Unlimited joined forces
with Joe Hanna local architect and designer extraordinaire. Joe's
last collaboration with Forward was Pete & Dewey's Planet. This
time they have created Ohio's most stunning and cozy coffee house,
featuring a beautiful stone fireplace, mahogany coffee bar, and
cozy leather seating. The decor will feature hand-picked items
from Red Orchid Living, which is located in Chagrin Falls. These
items are offered for sale and can be ordered through the coffee
house. The items for sale include fine leather chairs, stools,
tables and lamps.
Diane Armstrong will also lead an accomplished team in the kitchen
to create fresh baked specialties and a full-menued coffee house
with elegant light snacks, sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads.
Our culinary team includes Sherry Greenberg from One to One
Fitness Club's Co-op Cafe and Mary M. Rose, former manager of the
Cleveland Food Co-op.
We will be a "Fair Trade" coffee house.
Our exclusive coffee roaster is Phoenix Coffee of Cleveland. This
is also a homecoming for master roaster Carl Jones who was roaster
for Arabica coffee house when it was located on Shaker Square and
is the founder of
Phoenix Coffee. Carl is excited to make his triumphant return to the
Square along with wife and partner Sarah Willson Jones.
Popcorn Shop Factory
The Popcorn Shop Factory
will be located next door and will open December 16. We will
manufacture our famous Chagrin Falls caramel corn, double cheese
corn, kettle corn, and chocolate-kissed corn in the front window
for all to see and smell. We will also feature Shaker Square
gifts, Collector popcorn tins, and old fashioned candies. As we do
in Chagrin Falls, we'll ship your gifts of love from Shaker Square
to locations all over the world.
